Founded in 2001 and with offices in Luanda and Kuando Kubango, WETKELA is one of the biggest architectural practices in Angola, employing an average of 22 staff members including technical and support staff.
The company's main client is the Local Government of Kuando Kubango for which it has provided a consulting service since 2003.
In 2006 WETKELA began a long-term restructuring programme which is intended to streamline processes and resources in order to offer services to a broader range of clients.
As a client-oriented and project-based company, WETKELA values long-term relationships with their clients, employees and suppliers. The restructuring process itself is a long-term project which began by reshaping the practice to suit the standards and demands of companies operating in the oil industry in Angola.
In 2008 these efforts were rewarded with a three year renewable contract as a service provider to ESSO Angola, a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation.
